In fact, to each parent, their children are the best. I have two marvelous children, Danelya is our eldest daughter.

She is 10 years old and completed elementary school this year with an excellent mark! From her earliest childhood she grows up to be a tender, good-hearted and compassionate girl. We raise Danelya according to our Eastern family tradition of mutual respect and decency. Danelya is a very sincere and outgoing girl. She likes to help her grandmother and great-grandmother. Danelya is a nurturing sister and a daughter, who is very sociable and fun to be around.

She would have a hard time adapting to society, we assumed. As you get older, you realize you're not like other kids. Once all of this started, we were looking for a way out.

Our daughter was eagerly awaiting your prosthesis to be made as her social circle grew and the children - which are quite spontaneous - started asking questions about the missing limb. Danelya then lapsed into a cocoon of self-isolation. But we went above and beyond to keep her mind off unhappy thoughts. When she finally got her cyber-arm, the Danelya's joy was no limit!

Hundreds of people rejoiced with her, and she walked around proudly showing it off to everyone. Getting a prosthesis made her cheerful, and so were we. She accomplishes everything with them, whether it's lifting a cup or skipping. Danelya would spend two to three hours a day trying to walk with a prosthesis. So far, everything is a real grind to her.

People around her react quite differently. Mostly, sparks of admiration glint in the eyes of other children. For them, it's like she's not of this earth. As for the adults, some are silent, some feel sorry for her, there are more people who are happy for her.

Danelya's self-esteem and assertiveness also boosted. She enjoys the cyber-arm very much.
